Mountain Dew Cake

Okay... I know Mountain Dew cake sounds weird. But I have had good luck with putting Mountain Dew in baked goods before, so I decided to give it a try. It actually ended up tasting more like a very citrusy cake rather than tasting strictly like Mountain Dew. It is very moist and in my opinion doesn't need frosting, but I bet would be good with a light lemon or lime glaze.

1 box lemon cake mix
1 small box vanilla instant pudding mix
1/4 c. oil
2 eggs
1 c. Mountain Dew soda
powdered sugar

1. Put all ingredients into a large bowl and mix.

2. Pour into a greased and floured Bundt pan.

3. (Optional) To support your team, divide batter into two smaller bowls and dye your team colors. (In my case, orange and blue, Go Gators!!!)

4. (Optional) For the colored batters, layer the colors in the Bundt pan. Drag a knife through the batter to give a marble effect.

5. Bake at 350 F for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the top comes out clean.

6. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to cake plate.

7. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.

8. Stuff face!
