How To: Brown Butter

I feel completely silly in saying I did not know you could brown butter until recently. But it is a simple technique that adds a lot of flavor. But you have to be careful. Once the process begins, the butter browns very quickly, so watch it carefully to avoid burning.


1. Place desired amount of butter into a sauce pan at medium heat.


2. Melt completely.


3. Leave the butter over medium heat and stir periodically. Watch carefully.


4. The butter will start to turn brown after about two minutes. It turns QUICKLY.


5. Remove from heat once desired darkness is achieved.


6. Make into a frosting or sauce and stuff face!!
