There is sort of a funny story to this recipe. While my boyfriend was out playing frisbee, I fell asleep on the couch watching some show. I couldn't even tell you what it was. When he came back (and I was still asleep), the TV show was showcasing a restaurant in New York that only serves mac and cheese in individual cast iron bowls. When I finally woke up, he was in the middle of making this. He said the show inspired him and cast iron mac and cheese sounded too good to pass up. :D

It is Saturday. Time for more college football and my continuation of putting booze into delicious baked goods. This one turned out to be an awesome breakfast. With a little bit of butter and honey, this bread served warm is a nice way to start a tailgating morning.

Mmmmm...Jambalaya. Perfect "stay home and watch the Gators kick some booty!" food. This recipe is delicious, but be prepared. There is a bit of prep with this. I ended up doubling the recipe so I could have some lunches for the week (list of ingredients below is not doubled). Go Gators!

I came to the realization today that I have never cooked with fresh shrimp. Thinking back on the few times that I have cooked shrimp, they were always prepped and frozen. So it time to change that.

Come football season, I become somewhat obsessed with finding good dessert recipes with booze in them. This will be a good start to the season I think.
